Going Beyond Openness: transforming Supply, Profit and Value Chains

The promise of open source will not work in the economy of tangible products, organizations and processes if we don’t activate in first person in the creation of something radically new. If we do not experiment beyond licenses, beyond openness.

The revolution of distributed, sustainable and abundant production requires more inventive in social forms, brand management, financial models, involvement of local communities.

How to Frame the Sharing Economy Narrative (and Move On)

Is the sharing economy the first attempt to instill community perspectives in the traditional process of venture capital backed innovation? Or, on the contrary, is that an attempt of Venture Capital to monetize peer to peer and cooperative trends emerging from a pervasive internet and a global cultural shift?

Digital Evolutions: Startups, Platforms and Ecosystems

In search for new ideas to frame Platform Design as a discipline in a more global discourse regarding the digital market, I went in search of complementary theories: most of this research have been consolidated in a Lecture that I gave at two Startup Accelerators lately. Policies for Shared Innovation and Local Development

For some time now I’ve been making assumptions about what policies and changes the public administration should adopt in order to promote local development and long-term innovation. Despite these reflections are inevitably linked to the Italian scene, I think they might be generally helpful. These practices are also already being tested in some contexts (both nationally and internationally wide) with relevant results.
